Soft Gray Letterpress Hand & Calligraphy
Taylor & Frankie | 9/16/2017
This summer wedding had it all; fantastic mountain views, a beautiful couple, and some darn good paper if we do say so ourselves. We worked with Taylor and Frankie to create a wedding suite with a classic design to let the Denver scenery take center stage.
The Save the Date was a photo card that we stamped with gold foil for extra impact. The Invitation suite was simple but beautiful with a mix of hand calligraphy and type pressed into our bright white, cotton paper. We used a rustic gray ribbon and sprig of greenery to secure the pieces together in the envelope. The liner for both featured a hand illustrated mountain scene.
For the day of, we created wedding programs that mirrored the hand lettering of the invitations. We also created crisp, clean thank you notes with a photo liner for sending out after the wedding.
Taylor was sweet enough to put together her thoughts on the wedding planning process and invitations below.
Everybody talks about dreaming of their wedding since before they can remember. This truly was the case for us; having been attached at the hip since 7th grade, it was only a matter of time before we were fortunate enough to work with Printerette Press and a fabulous team in Denver to make the day beyond our wildest dreams come to fruition in the mountains. Having both grown up in Minnesota, we were both lovers of nature and influenced by the simple, Swedish-inspired aesthetic that Minnesota knows so well. We knew we wanted our wedding to represent that, and Printerette Press was naturally the best choice for conveying this imagery to our loved ones.
We wanted our aesthetic to be clean and minimalist, yet with a fun flair and illustrations of the mountain-themed setting that we chose for our special day. After one meeting at Printerette and working with someone as talented as Catherine, our visions aligned and we were able to convey the imagery and details that we were hoping for. From the save-the-date mountain liners to the barn doors where our dancing would take place and the cow skull that was a part of our Rehearsal Dinner decor, no detail was left unnoticed.
It was hard to choose which we loved more — the save the dates or the map! Both showcased the magnificent scenery of our nuptials, and the day itself couldn't have been more perfect. We were even treated to wild ponies galloping against the mountain backdrop during our ceremony followed by the most amazing Cotton Candy sunset! Our customized thank-you notes and stamps helped capture the essence of the day, and we were so grateful for the support of amazing friends, family, and creative partners such as Catherine and Heidi!
Thank you, Taylor!
